mane n tail rebranding

what i was working with // a heritage product perceived as animal care rather than modern human beauty. outdated labels, noisy visual language, inconsistent typography, and crowded packaging format. multiple SKUs with no clear product architecture and strict regulatory/ingredient labeling requirements. what stuck with me // the brand has real equity and a strong formula. the work was about reframing, not reinventing. restraint beats gimmicks. small choices in type, hierarchy, and material reveal quality. honoring the original while simplifying the system creates trust and makes the product feel human again. what came out of it // a grounded identity that reads premium yet honest, with a clear product system and label hierarchy. refined monogram and logotypes, a restrained earthy color system, functional patterns and textures, packaging comps, and a pop-up concept that demonstrates in-person brand experience. documentation ready for handoff and iteration.
